Month and year shifts clamp to the last valid day of the target month. With weekends excluded, one week uses the number of selected working weekdays.

详细方法和示例目前以英语提供。

Step-by-step instructions (English)

  1. Enter the starting date and choose the amount and date unit to add or subtract.
  2. Enable weekend exclusion only when Monday through Friday is the schedule you need.
  3. Calculate the destination date and check the displayed day of the week.

公式与方法

Days and weeks shift the calendar date directly. Month and year shifts preserve the day when possible and otherwise clamp to the last valid day. Excluding weekends counts only Monday through Friday; one excluded-weekend week means five working days.

实际示例

Adding one month to 31 January 2025 gives 28 February 2025. Adding one working day to a Friday gives the following Monday.

When this tool is useful

Find a date a fixed interval before or after an event, or compare calendar-month and day-based deadlines. Month arithmetic is useful for anniversaries, while day arithmetic is appropriate for a stated number of elapsed days.

Common mistakes and limitations

  • Adding one month is not the same as adding 30 days.
  • Weekend exclusion does not fetch public holidays; use Business Days Calculator for an explicit holiday list.

Practical questions about this tool (English)

What happens when the target month has fewer days?

The day is clamped to the last valid day of that month. For example, one month after January 31, 2025 is February 28, 2025.

Does a week mean seven days when weekends are excluded?

In the weekend-exclusion mode, one week represents five counted working days. Check that this convention matches your intended schedule.
