입력 내용은 브라우저에 보관됩니다. 계정이 필요하지 않습니다. Character counts use Unicode code points. Reading: 200 words/minute. Speaking: 130 words/minute.

자세한 방법과 예시는 영어로 제공됩니다.

Step-by-step instructions (English)

  1. Paste the original text and revised text into their respective fields.
  2. Choose line or word comparison and whether case or whitespace should be ignored.
  3. Compare added and removed sections in the available output view.

공식 및 방법

A sequence comparison identifies added and removed tokens by line or word. Side-by-side and inline views use the same comparison. Ignore case affects matching, and Ignore whitespace normalizes spaces before comparison. Output is rendered as text, not HTML.

실용 예시

Comparing Hello world with Hello there highlights world as removed and there as added when Word difference is selected.

When this tool is useful

Review edits to a draft, inspect changes to a small configuration, or compare copied responses. Word comparison suits prose changes, while line comparison is useful when each line is a meaningful record.

Common mistakes and limitations

  • Ignoring case or whitespace intentionally hides those differences; disable the options when formatting is meaningful.
  • This is a text comparison, not a semantic code analysis or a plagiarism detector.

Practical questions about this tool (English)

Why does a moved passage appear as a deletion and an addition?

The comparison describes sequences of text. Moving a passage changes its position, so it may be represented as removal from one place and addition at another.

What should I do if a comparison times out?

Compare a smaller section. Complex differences on very large inputs can exceed the processing time limit even when the character count is within the input limit.
