Formula e metodo
This projection assumes a deposit at the beginning of each month and compounds the balance at the annual rate divided by 12. A step-up increases the deposit once after each group of 12 contributions. Total returns equal projected value minus all contributions.
Esempio pratico
Investing 5,000 currency units monthly for 10 years means 600,000 currency units in contributions. At an illustrative 12% annual rate, the beginning-of-month model projects approximately 1,161,695 currency units. Actual returns will differ.

Does annual step-up increase the investment return?
No. Step-up increases the amount you contribute after each year of monthly deposits. It changes cash contributions, while the assumed return rate remains a separate input.
Are taxes and fund fees included?
No. The projection compounds the selected rate without modeling taxes, fees, inflation, or changing market returns. It is an illustration, not a product recommendation.
