Formule et méthode
Subtract the first discount from the original price. Apply any additional discount to the reduced price, then apply tax to the remaining amount. Effective discount compares both discounts with the original price; savings are shown before tax.
Exemple pratique
A 2,500 currency units item with 20% off costs 2,000 currency units. Another 10% off reduces that to 1,800 currency units. The combined effective discount is 28%, not 30%.

Why are savings shown before tax?
Savings compare the original price with the price after discounts. Tax is then applied to the reduced amount, so a final total with tax should not be mistaken for the discounted base price.
Can I use a currency other than the default?
Yes. Select the currency used by your purchase. The selection changes monetary formatting; it does not convert a price using an exchange rate.
